After 20 years at the forefront of CTT’s operations, founding Directors Bob Massey and Clive Ponder are handing over the reins of the operational duties to a fresh pair of knowledgeable, CTT hands.
Those hands belong to former CTT Director Andrew Houston, who was officially appointed Managing Director of the group on 1 May 2024.
Andrew, who’s been with CTT since 2019, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, with over 32 years in the Wealth Management Sector.
“I am deeply honoured to step into this role and continue the incredible work that Bob and Clive have started,” says Andrew. “I feel immense pride in our dedicated CTT staff and am excited to lead us into a future of innovation and growth, all while maintaining the high standards that make our team exceptional.”
A fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and former professional rugby player and coach, Andrew channels the same energy and enthusiasm into his work at CTT Group.
He thrives on building and developing teams, having been Head of Barclays Wealth Management prior to joining CTT, and is respected for working collaboratively with others at all levels.
His reputation for excellence, professionalism, and integrity are evident in the high-quality results he achieves for his clients in challenging situations.
“We are thrilled to announce this significant development in the leadership of CTT,” says Clive Ponder. “After careful consideration and extensive evaluation, we are pleased to be handing over the reins to Andrew, who’s demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a deep understanding of the private client industry throughout his career.”
With nearly 80 years of industry experience between them, Bob Massey and Clive Ponder are well deserving of the accolade ‘expert’. The two advisers and rugby chums launched CTTC in 2003 having spotted a gap in the market for an estate planning solution that married financial planning and will writing – their respective areas of expertise. They decided to form a business that offered both disciplines, and later, developed CTT Group into a professional support service.
Twenty years on, CTT Group has grown into a multidisciplinary adviser support network with members spread across the UK. Its innovative approach to digital estate planning, coupled with the group’s collaborative ethos, has seen CTT push the sector’s boundaries and client expectations to new heights – something Andrew is keen to continue developing in his new role.
“As I step into the role of Managing Director, I am excited to lead CTT Group into its next chapter,” he says. “My plans include maintaining CTT’s reputation for bringing both technological innovation as well as technical estate planning innovations to the sector. I am committed to working closely with our talented teams to enhance the services we provide to the professional adviser community, and set the standard for excellence in the industry.”
“Andrew’s strategic vision, combined with his proven track record of driving growth and fostering innovation, make him the ideal candidate to lead CTT into its next phase of development,” says Clive.
“As founding directors, we have full confidence in Andrew’s ability to steer CTT towards continued success and our clients towards sustained future growth.”
“His dedication to excellence, commitment to our core values, and passion for serving our clients and partners make him a natural fit for this position. With his guidance, we are confident that CTT will continue to deliver outstanding results and exceed expectations.”
Please join us in congratulating Andrew on his new role. We look forward to bringing you news of the exciting developments at CTT under his leadership.
