Our culture

With over 20 years of experience in the Professional Advisory Field, we’ve been expanding rapidly year on year and a lot of this can be attributed to our culture within CTT.

We believe to be the best, we need to nurture the best, and our amazing team members are at the centre of our evolution! In fact, our Wall of Heroes is entirely dedicated to celebrating the achievements and milestones of our staff, who all enrich our CTT culture with their unique qualities, talents, and personalities (not to mention, their humour!).

Getting started in our sector

We understand that entering such a specialist field can feel daunting at first. You may feel that perhaps you lack the skills or knowledge required to succeed in one of our sectors – but don’t let this discourage you! You most likely have a wide range of easily transferable skills.

We believe in utilising the existing talents found within our company and encourage the development of our employees through training opportunities and mentoring. We understand that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and our colleagues can attest to that with their remarkable accounts of progression within our group.

Many of our team members have started their journey with us in administrative roles, and have since paved their way into our specialist sectors as financial advisors, estate planners, or system managers! We want to see all members of our team thrive, so whether becoming a STEP-qualified estate planner, completing training in web-development, or obtaining a Diploma in Finance and Management is your cup of tea, we’re here to serve it.

A typical employee journey

James originally studied law at university, however realised that the standard solicitor route wasn’t meant for him. Having surfed through some casual jobs after graduating, he joined us in 2014 as an Admin Assistant. It very quickly became clear that James had a passion for law and learning, and therefore was promoted to Legal Administrator within a matter of weeks! Over the last eight years, CTT have supported James through four STEP exams and six financial exams, which enabled him to become a highly qualified adviser in the Private Client Department!

For James, joining and undertaking training at CTT “opened up a lot of doors” in the legal sector, so, if you have a passion for law like James but aren’t quite sure of what to do with it, there could be an amazing career awaiting you at CTT!

Develop a career in law and finance unlike any other

With his qualifications, James has been able to mould his career to suit him; now he has the autonomy to bring in his own business and develop his own client base. We’re always open to our employees pursuing professional development and if there’s a career path you’d like to follow, we’ll put you on training to get there.

Another perk of CTT is the versatility on offer. Thanks to our array of specialisms and the fact that we all work together under one roof, there are always opportunities to try something new. Another of our heroes, Debbie, commends the variety of her job:
