COVID-19 has shaken up the recruitment market.

The pandemic revealed its fragility, resulting in redundancies, homeworking, and acquainting us all with the term ‘furlough’.

Coronavirus has made many businesses rethink their strategies around recruitment, here at CTT Group, we are no different. We have a become aware of how competitive the employment market is. The BBC reported that ‘with vacancies at a record high of 1.2 million, many employers are struggling to cope with a shortage of skilled workers.’ Job hunters can now be selective, and rightly so.

We understand that professional does not translate to traditional. This applies to all aspects of our company ranging from Law and HR to Accountancy and Administration. Even when choosing an office space we rejected the norm, opting for a beautiful country house with a rich history in Warwickshire, instead of a minimal office in a large city.

We are aware of the general emphasis on going to university straight after school. However, we know that this route is not for everyone, which is why we offer apprenticeships, providing real-life experience giving you the tools needed to excel.

There is the expectation that your first role after education becomes your chosen field for the rest of your life. This is not our opinion. At CTT Group, we have several individuals who have changed careers in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, and we’ve supported their development every step of the way. Age, gender, ethnicity, or family circumstances are not barriers to your career within CTT Group.

We do not discriminate.

We want our people to succeed. That is why, as well as offering a competitive salary, we place a real importance on career progression. We understand that employees want to grow. Therefore, we encourage employee growth and potential, whether through promotion or gaining experience across multiple departments.  Our belief of wanting people to succeed is also applied outside the company. We visited a nearby college to provide mock interview training for the students, so they are more equipped for when they are entering the working world.

Our aim is to be proactive and not reactive with our recruitment, so we are continuously hiring. We accept CV’s irrespective of what job vacancies we are advertising at the time. We believe if the right person wants to join the company, it would be absurd to lose that opportunity.

If you think you would be a good fit for CTT Group, visit our job vacancies here, or send us your CV.
