Clive Ponder

Clive graduated university in 1974 with a first-class degree in Mining Engineering, from there he joined the National Coal Board where he progressed through the line management ranks and became Colliery General Manager in 1986. At the age of 36, Clive was appointed as General Manager of Markham Colliery in Derbyshire. After leaving the mining industry Clive wanted to take a completely different career route and joined a company taking instructions for wills and associated documents. Over fifteen years ago, Clive set up his own company taking instructions for and processing wills and associated documents for his own clients. As well as his own work Clive was approached by a number of national organisations to train their staff and process all of their documentation. From this period Clive’s company has written tens and thousands of client wills and maintain these in secure storage.
Bob Massey
DIRECTOR – CTT TAX & TRUST • BSC DIPPFS TEP
Bob started his career in 1983 as a Financial Advisor; after sailing through Sales Management and becoming the youngest ever Branch Manager for L&G at the age of 29, Bob has the expertise, attitude and skills to run his teams and advise clients on taxation and trusts.
Bob continues to work as an IFA and a Practising Trust and Estate Practitioner, TEP and believes that building a trusted relationship with their clients, coupled with the ability to problem-solve effectively, will help them to exceed their clients’ expectations.
Bob works as one of the Founders and Directors and became a nationally recognised centre of excellence for services to their clients, protecting wealth and assets efficiently and effectively for their families.
Bob’s mantra for all is, “Let’s just exceed expectations of our clients in the services we offer.”
Spencer Tattam
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – CTT TAX & TRUST • BA (HONS) DIPPFS TEP
Spencer Tattam was appointed as the Technical Director in 2017. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates. He is also an IFA qualified to DipPFS level.
He has been working at Countrywide since 2004, providing bespoke solutions for advisors and clients, and is now heavily involved in the technical development of the Legacy software in his role. Spencer oversees the Trust Management, Probate and Estate Planning teams.
Charlotte Ponder
LEGAL DIRECTOR – CTT TAX & TRUST • LL.B (HONS) TEP
Charlotte was appointed as the Legal Director in 2017 and holds a key responsibility in overseeing the running of the Processing and Admin Teams as well as ensuring that the day-to-day operations run smoothly across the company.
Charlotte became a full TEP in 2017 following completion of the STEP Diploma in Advising Vulnerable Clients, and she now regularly speaks at industry events and attends meetings with key stakeholders in the legal sector such as the Law Commission.
Andrew Houston
